When to see an emergency dentist?

Severe toothache, a knocked-out or injured tooth, bleeding that doesn't stop after extraction or trauma, swelling in the face or jaw, and injury to the soft tissues of the mouth – all require seeing a dentist as soon as possible. Emergency dental care is offered at clinics that allocate urgent appointments; it's important not to delay as infection or damage can worsen.

During clinic hours you can get dental first aid: examination, pain relief, emergency extraction or stopping bleeding. Dr. Tal Itskovich's clinic – dentist in Haifa and the Krayot – is in Kiryat Motzkin and accessible to the area. In a dental emergency, contact us and we'll do our best to help quickly.

If a tooth is completely knocked out (e.g. in trauma), keep it in milk or saline and get to a dentist as soon as possible – sometimes the tooth can be reinserted. For bleeding after extraction – press with a clean gauze and avoid vigorous rinsing for the first 24 hours.
